In a recent blog post I talked about an extension under development that has really got me excited. And it takes quite a lot to get me excited these days!

Tonight I got a quick skype message from the author that the release is only hours away.

Patience may be a virtue but I've been waiting for this for a very long time now and the anticipation is really getting to me.

Ever since I had my first sneak preview I've been thinking not only of all the new ways I can present content on a web site but also of the many ways this will enrich content creators lives.

This new uber-extension replaces com_content with a powerful all-in-one rich content creator that lets the authors concentrate on content and leaves the joomla site to handle everything else automagicaly.

  • This isn't one of those eye candy extensions that serves no real purpose.
  • It isn't an extension that is nice to have but you could easily live without.
  • It's not even an extension that has any competitors to compare with.

This is an extension that will change the way I create and manage content on all my sites. It will also drastically reduce the number of plugins and components I need to use.

You will be climbing to new heights with this component, maybe not quite to the top of the world but a very close second.

And what is it called and where can I get it? Well for that you will have to wait till the official release but the answers to both of those questions are hidden in this post.
